Mert Bektas

Professional Experience 

Mert is a graduate from Yildiz Technical University with a BA in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. He continues Master of Business Administration at Gebze Technical University.  

Mert began his career in automotive industry at Eku Fren as an engineer in quality department. He gained experiences in auditing and building a quality system in a company. After 2 years he got a promotion as a senior projects and methods engineer. He gained experience in project management, customer technical assistance, methods studies and cost breakdown & analysis. After 2 years he joined the sales team as a sales specialist. He has combined his technical background with customer services, pricing, potential customer studies for customers in Europe region and Original Equipment Manufacturers all around the world. This role enabled Mert to communicate, service and find solutions for the customers globally. 

Role in Manay CPA

Mert is with our accounting operations team and provides accounting support to major financial accounting areas including Onboarding New Clients, New Business Formation, Issuing Invoices, Depreciation Schedules, Financial Statements according to GAAP, all types of Tax Returns, Tax Research and Tax Consultancy, Payroll for both individuals and corporates and other accounting and sales duties as needed. 

Personal Interests

Mert plays basketball and likes to watch NBA and NFL games. He loves to travel the world to learn about different cultures and cuisines. He also likes to go to rock concerts and music festivals. Cinema is a passion for him. Last but not least, he likes to read novels especially sci-fi classics.
